Slayer, Lamb of God, Anthrax. Behemoth & Testament

12th June 2018 - Tuesday 17:00

Sensational thrash and black metal artists Slayer, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth, and Testament are bringing their electrifying sounds to the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater!

Slayer was formed in Huntington Park (California) in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. The band’s been through various line-up changes since then and it currently consists of Kerry and Gary Holt on guitars, Tom Araya (vocals, bass), and Paul Bostaph (drums). The band’s early work was full of fast and aggressive material created with breakneck speed and an instrumental prowess that combined the structure of hardcore punk tempos and speed metal. Their musical style has evolved to include fast tremolo picking, double bass drumming, riffs in irregular scales, shouted vocals, all blended with lyrics and album art covering topics such as murder, serial killers, necrophilia, torture, genocide, human experimentation, Satanism, hate crimes, terrorism, religion, anti-religion, Nazism, and warfare. Their music has caused a lot controversy resulting in album bans, delays, lawsuits, and criticism from religious groups and the public. Despite this, Slayer has become one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history (bands who cite Slayer as major influence include Bullet for My Valentine, Slipknot, Gojira, Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse, Pantera, Kreator, Mayhem, Darkthrone, System of a Down, Lamb of God, Behemoth, Evile, and Lacuna Coil).

Don’t miss your chance to see the early thrash metal band with the most continued vitality and the least risk of compromise, with graphic lyrics wedded to powerful musical chops! Click the button below to see Slayer, Lamb of God, Anthrax. Behemoth & Testament on Tuesday, June 12th!
